Abstract

This article provides an in-depth analysis of the role of museums and exhibitions in fostering intercultural understanding. The introduction highlights the relevance of the research, emphasizing that museums serve not only as institutions for preserving cultural heritage but also as platforms for promoting dialogue and tolerance among diverse communities. The literature review shows that while previous studies have explored various aspects of museum activities, the direct empirical impact of museums on the development of intercultural dialogue remains insufficiently examined. The results section demonstrates, through observations and analysis, the cognitive and emotional influence of exhibitions on visitors, presenting concrete examples of how museums strengthen intercultural relations. The discussion section compares these findings with previous research, revealing that while some theoretical assumptions were confirmed, others require new approaches and broader perspectives. Furthermore, the academic and practical significance of the study is underlined, with special attention given to its contribution within a wider socio-cultural context. Finally, directions for future research are suggested. Overall, the study demonstrates that museums should be regarded not only as centers of heritage preservation but also as bridges of dialogue between different peoples and cultures.
